Puss thinks she is "king of the hill" when she can take over Cody's prize possession.
I thought fur would fly but Cody backed off .........................

And went to her other bed in the crate. Is that called sibling sympathy or sharing or what?
Wow she really does think she's a princess doesn't she?? LOL
ReplyDeleteAll she lacks is a little princess crown. Ha
DeleteLOL!!! Cats rule, dogs.. well.. dogs are equally as lovely!!! Take care
ReplyDeletex
Before Puss came on the scene, Cody hated cats but they have adjusted very well.
Deletehaha why do dogs always give in?
ReplyDeleteAwww, it's sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is kinda sweet the way they get along now, as Cody hated cats before she came to live with us.
DeleteI guess we know who the boss is
ReplyDeleteJohn
DeleteAnd Puss is so wee and old. I guess "old" must give her the attitude... I won't stand for that s--- anymore.
I just love the antics of furbabies!
ReplyDeleteturquoisemoon
Deletethey must have a communication of their own. Ha
Most dogs do seem to give in
ReplyDeleteHoly Ghost,
DeleteYes I suppose it's why dogs can be trained and cats can't.
AWWWWW.... Poor Cody! Chased out of her nice bed by that mean ole cat. LOL... Cody should go eat the cats food and drink all the water.
ReplyDeletehahaha the kitty wins out
ReplyDeletePoor dog left to pout
Usually the way
At most every bay
Cat gives a swat
And wins all hot to trot
She just sticks up her little paw
DeleteIt's like the evil eye....Yee Haw
Then Cody backs away......
"Not the little paw, no way."
haha knows how to get it done
DeleteProb also a little fun
I assume the biggest bed in the house is still yours?
ReplyDeleteFishducky
DeleteFunny you should ask. It's all mine but she has designs on it. I keep my BR door closed. No critters allowed on MY bed. They aren't even allowed in my room. They have their own beds and if that doesn't please them, tough cookies.
Awww...poor Cody. We have a cat like that, here, too :)

DeleteThose little cats are fearless. But Cody gets her long walk every day and I hope that makes her feel special. Sometimes I get introspective about Cody and wonder if she is truly happy with me. Is it enough to ride in the back of the car whenever I go and to go for her walks? But she seems happy and as soon as I finish this, we are off for our walk, in spite of the ba-zillion things I have to do. Hahaha
I recognize this behavior. Shelby was like this... hahaha. Even though she was the smallest of our dogs, you would often find her in the LARGEST bed. We have a dog that is 55 pounds and ONE really large dog bed. Who would be in it? Shelby. The smallest dog. If she wanted that bed and another dog was in it, she was smart enough to bark at something that WASN'T EVEN THERE to rally the other dog out of the bed to see about the ruckus, and then she would slip into the bed. She was *something else.*
ReplyDeleteYour cat is displaying all the signs of being Princess of the Palace.
Robin
DeleteThat is soooo funny. To create a situation to lure the other dogs away. Little smarty.
Cody hated cats before this one came in the house but Little Puss would just stand still and put her little paw out. She the old one that I took from the shelter because I didn't think anyone would adopt her. She was so malnutritioned, I thought she was a short hair cat but with all the supplements, her hair is long, really long and soft. All she needs is her crown.
LOL! Still, I hope Cody gets her to at least share his bed.
ReplyDeleteSu-sieee
DeleteI bought Puss beds galore. I kept thinking she wanted something different so I'd buy another bed. Then one of those big things they can climb on or sleep on.Nope. She likes to go upstairs and sleep on an old cot up there. And then she sneaks on Cody''s bed when ever she can. I wonder if she and Mollie would get along.
She is King (or Queen)of the hill!
ReplyDeleteJJ
DeleteThat is what she looks like in the middle of that huge bed, the little princess looking for the pea, or something. Haha
Goodness there is room on that for them and you. It's huge. Cody is a real gentleman.
ReplyDeletePatti
DeleteYes, Cody has a generous nature. I never thought she would ever accept a cat ..... Not that it makes any difference but Cody is female. I had at first named her Dakota and it somehow got shortened to Cody. Do your animals ever go through a mess of names before one seems to stick?
Cody: okay you can stay there...but you owe me one.
ReplyDeletePuss; thanks dude, you're a pal.
River
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine? Cody actually likes her crate too.
I'm not sure why but this blog is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end? I'll check back later on and see if the problem still exists.
ReplyDeleteHere is my web site - vakantiewoning huren
I'm not surprised at all that Cody likes her crate. it is her own little world, and she can be in control of it, and that feels wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAbout the sibling sympathy thing; I don't think it's that at all. I think Cody has been intimidated by the cat. Cats do that, event to Bears, sometimes. Although it takes a much larger cat than yours to attract a Bear's attention. Except as a snack.
Blessings and Bear hugs!

DeleteI guess dogs in the wild sleep /live in holes in the ground, so they like the small quarters.
Cody sleeps on her big round bed until I go to bed, then she goes into her crate all by herself.
Hahaha Be ware of the bigger cats. They climb trees just like bears.
Puss really does look like a Prince (or Princess) on his (or her) pillow, and how sweet of Cody to let Puss get on with it and retreat to the sanctity of her crate. This post made me smile today, and that's always a good thing, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteThisisme
DeleteThey are both girls. Only Cody sounds like a boy because most Codys are boys. Confusing. I first named her Dakota and somehow it just got shortened to Cody. It seemed like 2 syllables were easier to say than 3. Ha
This made me laugh out loud!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how often the smaller ones can manage to get one over on the bigger ones?
Your dog actually looks like it just wants peace and quiet and knows that the key to that is just leaving that kitty alone!
I think fear of mangling and death would make Cody retreat!
ReplyDeleteWhat perfect photos.
Hahaha
DeleteYeah, big fearless dog.
Always suspected that cats ruled and dogs drooled.
ReplyDeleteI think I heard that in a cartoon somewhere.
Al
DeleteI never heard that one..... Cats rule, dogs drool. I like it. True.
Hey Manzanita,
ReplyDeleteIs the cat sitting in a giant chocolate doughnut, or donut? :)

DeleteHahaha
I like that one.... Now that you mention it, it does look like we just returned from "Dunkin D."
Cody and Puss are adorable.
ReplyDeleteJulia
DeleteOh thanks.... A couple of cards. Ha
Obviously, their "mama" taught them how to share.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.
Susan
ReplyDeleteI'm just amazed.
Had a great Mother's Day. Walk with my daughter and much yard work. Hope you you enjoyed your day too.
Dear Manzanita, for me, it looks like sharing. Cody seems to know that Puss needs to be "King of the hill" today.....or maybe Cody just doesn't want fur to fly! Peace.
