A Boring Weather Post. A Photographer I'm Not.

Temp this morning. I have to go to Costco for greens.

Temp around the state. At Costco I buy 6 of the large spring mix greens and 12 of the petite lettuce. For my green juice.

I haven't a clue what this is. Another boring picture I took.

Whoopee Ding. We're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave. Look I'm dancing.

A full Moon on another Three Dog Night. I was born on a full moon. Doggone!

More boring temps around the area.

So how's your weather?

  1. Austin is 67 and cloudy with drizzle expected....Paradise compared to your's!! Brrrrr! My condolences!

  2. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr! Here, the sky is blue (not a cloud to be seen) and the temp should reach 45!
Was it a full moon last night? If so, that explains my crazy day at work yesterday.

  3. Colder than a witches tit, as they say. Are you suffering from cabin fever, perchance? Spring is coming. Really. Hang in there.

  4. My mind is stuck on the thought that you can get juice from spring lettuce. How much lettuce does it take to get a glass?
The sky is very blue with white puffy, fluffy clouds at the moment. The weather guys says its 39 degrees. The weather guys keep saying we'll get snow at sea level, so of course a lot of us are acting like Santa Claus will be coming around the corner any minute.

  5. Oh you are always so cute and funny, Manzanita. I wish you were my neighbor. Today it is snowy and cold, but I'm ok with that because it is February after all.

  6. Mellodee,
67 !!!!!! I'd take my clothes off and dance in the rain.

    Shawn Becker,
Even 46 is a paradise to our coming heat wave of the 30's. Moon Struck.

    Teresa,
Hell, yes. I'm even rearranging cleaning products under the sink.

    Su-sieee,
I juice with a Norwalk Juicer..... the lamborgheni of juicers!! For one glass of green juice, 1/3 of a box of spring mix and one bag of petite lettuce.

Will it have to drop to 32 before it snows? We take any number in the 30's as tank top and shorts weather.

    Karen,
I don't know about cute and funny. Don't you just want to see a green blade of grass sometimes? I wish were were neighbors too. That would be fun. We could gossip over the clothes line.

    You're so good and accepting.

Love you all and your patience for spring.

  7. Snow overnight in the canyon with temps around 20F. By now, noon here, a lot of snow has melted and I would guess temps are in the high 30s or low 40, but with a wind chill factor that makes my ears hurt if I go outside without covering them. And it's cloudy with some blue sky and sun too. In general it is a big muddy mess here.--Inger

  8. After a lifetime in the mountains of New Hampshire, I am proud to be a Florida weather wimp. You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!

  9. Well, I'm glad that Cody is happy!

We have been having mild winter weather - between 7C and 10C. Lovely sunshine this afternoon so I was out in the garden cutting down the autumn raspberry canes (always one of my first gardening jobs of the year).

    Love the full moon pic.

  10. 23 and snowing in Western MI *sigh*

  11. LOL!!!! The third pic looks like "the attack of spindly legged things"!! Wonderful!!!!

How's the weather here?! Cold and wet. Wet and cold. :-) Take care

  12. Been good weather here in Phoenix but they're saying it might freaking snow here tomorrow. Blah.

  13. I thought the weather in Billings was going to be worse than it was this weekend. I think we got up to the 30's. The nights are way below zero.

  14. Inger,
I dislike wind. It is so disturbing but I guess it's necessary to dry up your mud puddles.

    JJ,
Yeah, you do wimp up in Florida. When I lived there, I remember going to Ashville NC and froze my butt off.

    Christine,
We must share karma.... I had just been thinking about you today and was going to drop in on you. Hope you are feeling better now.

    Jeff,
I used to love to go skiing in all your snow when I lived in MN. Those were the days.

    Old Kitty,
Spindly legged things. I love it. Guess we're all looking for sunshine.

    Mrs Tuna,
You win the crown of good weather. You picked the right spot.

    Bernie,
It seems as if it's always a little warmer in Billings. Heat Miser. Ha

That is fun hearing about the weather report all over. Great comments. Love you all, Manzanita

  15. We've had a spate of destructive winds (some significant power outages and fallen trees) and are now either pretending it's warm enough to open windows for ten minutes or bundling up to go outside, all a bit on the cold side for Northern Virginia. Having said that, compared to your temps we're in the Caribbean! Hope your area warms up soonest!

  17. Hi Manzanita
I've popped in a second time to respond to your question on my blog about adding a blog list. I responded on my blog but it was garbled as I was cooking dinner and blogging at the same time. Multi-tasking is not always a success!

    Here's how you do it:
Go to Design on your Dashboard
Look for 'Add a Gadget' in an empty box and click on it
You will see a list of gizmos that you can add to your blog, one of which is the Blog List
Click on the + sign to add it and remember to save.
    Hope it works for you!

  18. I live in a temperate land - you might consider it boring. The temperature in the UK is around 10C, dull and rainy.

  20. We had snow for a few minutes yesterday afternoon. It melted as it landed. The higher parts of town got a thin layer that stuck for a bit. I don't think it was 32, but then I was cleaning out the garage, hoping I wouldn't run into a stray mouse.

  21. Clare - :)
Come on down. A perfect day for the Riverwalk and the Mission Trail

  22. You buy all those lovely greens and then make juice?? Why not just eat the greens? In salad..

Here in Adelaide, South Australia, today is 28 degrees, so a bit of a cool change for us. Of course that's a Celcius reading, so about 80 degrees Fahrenheit. I'll be happier when it's down to about 23C, I don't like the heat.

  23. Raining and windy in Portland, but it was snowing at my cabin just an hour away this morning. So beautiful!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sunny in this little ol' town in England Ground is wet, although I didn't notice rain overnight; not a breath of wind and a damp coolness to the air - but certainly not cold.

It is really quite pleasant as the world is slowly getting its green coat back.

  26. I'm so sick of this weather. Yesterday it was raining and muggy and wet. Ugh! Today is windy and freezing! I'm so sick of winter and hope spring is coming soon!

  27. Christine,
Thanks. It was a success. What a sweetie you are to help me. I wrote on your post, too.

    Rosalind,
It's just that now I looked at cold and snow as boring because I have a bad case of cabin fever. Soon we can all brag about how hot it is. Ha.

    Clare,
Are you getting snow again? Soon, hopefully, soon. We'll cross off the days of the calandar.

    Su-sieee,
You have snow!!!! for goodness sake. I hope you didn't find that mouse. You'd have to play the ultra female, jump up on something and say eeek and call husband. Ha.

    Carol,
Stop rubbing it in. You win the prize. We're all jealous.

    Kittie
How neat to open windows again. I can't do that. I always feel like I'm heating the outside. I get enough air in the house when the dog goes in and out.

  28. River,
I'm glad you broke down the temp. My mind was thinking cold. I could stand a little of your heat.
I juice because it's a lot of greens for 3 glasses and I'd be wearing my jaws out chewing.

    Galen,
I keep forgetting you live in Portland. I always think of that as being fairly mild temp. Your cabin must be lovely.

    Anna,
Sounds like the perfect temp. I like a tinge of cold but not bitter (like we have).

    ryoko861,
Do you also feel my craziness? I have cabin fever. My bulbs must not be working.

    Climb2Nowhere,
I'm smiling because you sound like me and most of us, really. Let's all hang together. Ha. Then before we know, we'll say it's too darn hot.

I really enjoyed hearing about all the different weather reports. Good job bloggy friends. It compiles into everyone is ready for spring. Hurray for spring.
    Love you all, Manzanita

  29. -20, windy as all get out and colder then cold. Spring might be around the coner but it's taking it sweet old time. Suppose to warm up soon and myabe we can even have some sunshine. I'm ready.
Green grass, green leaves, even a flower would be such a welcomed sight.
Take care Manzanita and have a great and blessed afternoon.
