A glitch is a glitch, a glitch, a witch, no not Mr. Ed

GET IN THERE? REALLY?
NO WAY!

There seems to be a little fracas about health care these days. People can't sign up for health care because of a "glitch." Lions and tigers..... oh my goodness. What's going to happen to the human body if it doesn't get chemicals dumped on the cells. WHY.... WILL WONDERS NEVER CEASE....... THE BODY MAY JUST BE ABLE TO HEAL ITSELF.

A glitch, a glitch, is there a witch (doctor) in the house????
Do you really believe that a country that has the electronic sophistication of gathering and storing every word we utter or write can be so clumsy and inept about setting up a call-in program for people who want to sign up for health care???????

I like to watch magicians work and notice the way they draw attention to one hand so the audience can't see what the other hand is doing.  Let's see, as I stroke my chin and purse my lips in a thinking aspect.  ummmm  ..... if enough insurance companies drop people, they'll be chomp'n at the bit to sign up for health care, even if it costs a bazillion dollars. Good idea......can't be without the chemicals for long.

Acute care is necessary. Surgeons have skillful steady hands that can performm miracles but as for the rest of the doctoring, one can do a better job on themselves. Herbs are the greatest.

No one asked, but that is just my opinion from the side lines.

  1. I need to start planting some more herbs so I hopefully won't need their darned health care. A glitch is a glitch... I'll be a witch!

    1. Remember that tune from Mr. Ed? Now, the dumb song will be in my head the rest of the day. Did you get your herbs yet? I'll be ready for the cleanse after the 15th of this month.

  2. For me so long as everyone has equal access to someone able to help alleviate their pain when they are ill no matter what they earn or who they are etc, then all is good! Take care

Your country has had your health care for a long time and all the glitches are ironed out.

    2. Old Kitty: With the utmost respect, it makes no sense to adversely affect the health care available to the entire nation under the guise of providing adequate health care to 5% of the population. It could have been funded specifically for that 5%. However, the idea of the man behind the curtain is income redistribution. All is not good.

I guess I have medicare but I never, never use it. I feel there should be acute health care for when people are broken or bloody. Most of the herbs that cure the cell build-up are outlawed and people have to go to Mexico for them.

The body is such a miracules piece of machinery that it will cure itself if the organs are all working as they were intended to. How can synthetic drugs and chemicals cure this delicate flesh. It's like putting sugar in your car's gas tank, I do use herbs for natural healing and it does heal much of the time. It prob would heal all the time but I'm mostly doing guesswork.

  6. While I agree with you about our ability to heal ourselves to a great extent and while I am very much opposed to people popping pills for every little thing, I feel it is an outrage that the richest country in the world does not provide health care for its citizens. And I'm not talking about Obama care, which is not socialized medicine, I'm talking about real socialized medicine, where taxes a high, but everyone gets the care they need. There must be a reason, more than the pastries, that surveys consistently show Danes to be the happiest people on earth and they do pay about 60% of their income in taxes. Not suggesting that's a solution for us, but something needs to be done.

I think something is definitely being done but I don't know if it's what you had in mind. The elimination of the middle class. Not what I would like in my mind but majority rules and the majority wants it.

  7. I do find it hard to believe that with the time and money that has been spent on the ACA it is sooooo glitchy by accident. As you say, people are getting dropped left and right by their current insurers and are panicking. They can't get coverage. When they do get coverage it is MORE EXPENSIVE and COVERS LESS than what they had before, BUT it is the only option. They complain, but they take it.

When will people figure out that the government has been lying all along???? Is it a tax or a fine or if you don't have insurance? They said it was a tax, but now they are calling it a fine. And isn't anyone questioning giving MORE POWER to the IRS to monitor our health care???

When you willingly hand over your health care options to the government... well, I guess you deserve what you get.

    1. Government has been lying very early on in the game but I would say since Wilson (WW1) there has been one pathetic government filled with false flags and tricks to get us into unconstitutional wars. George Washington gave dire warnings ...NOT to get entangled in affairs of sovereign nations. We kissed our freedom good-by because of creepy Wilson and Mrs. Peck. Although Wilson looked like a chunk of granite, he couldn't keep his peck(er) in his pants. Coward that he was he sold out US because love letters from Mrs. Peck were hanging to expose him. Many presidents had that same problem but didn't cave into blackmail, as Clinton... he just lied. That's even far better than selling out a whole nation.
Wilson was a disgusting, pathetic "son of a preacher man." Wonder if that was who Dusty Springfield used as an example in her song. (kidding of course). The darkest day in the history of the U.S. when all of elected govt. thought it was more important to be home for Christmas than to stand guard over the nation's money system. That sex-crazed coward gave away our freedom to save his pathetic butt. The FED's have been draining our coffers to support their wars, ever since. But, as I said above, I'm in a minority. The only president since Wilson who did not cave in was Kennedy and look where it got him,

      Delete
    2. Well said, Manzi. Yeah, I NOW think that not doing what the IBs wanted was what killed Kennedy. That is not a good promotion for any President in the future to try and Do The Right Thing and close down the Fed. Chances are he/she would be executed before it could happen. I think the scale has tipped too far.

Did I tell you that I went to Woodrow Wilson Jr. High school? That was three years as close to hell as I have ever been. Seems appropriate now that the school was named after someone equally miserable as a human being.

First, I totally agree with you.
I think it would be absolutely swell if everyone got all the medical help they wanted. In a perfect world... But the world is not perfect and there just is not enough money in the world to make it happen. Plus, imagine if everyone was guaranteed free medical. Then, people would flock to the doc for every little sniffle or sneeze. So, you have all these people clogging up a clinic (not a doctor's office; it would be more like a cattle call with-hopefully-a lesser stench) while the dude with a kidney stone writhes in pain until his number is called. Plus, if a doctor is guaranteed to be paid a certain wage, what incentive is there for he or she to be better than the dude who's reading "Medicine For Dummies" and is paid the same? I lived the military health care system for almost 30 years and it wasn't pretty. Navy doctors almost killed my father-in-law and the dopes at the Navy hospital in Jacksonville said a very good friend of ours just had indigestion. This woman in her mid-30's needed triple bypass surgery. If Navy doctors were any good, they got out and went into private practice. If the US has socialized medicine, then they'll ALL be Navy doctors. As far as the ridiculous claim about the Danes. This isn't Denmark. The US, via NATO, picks up a lot of the tab for Denmark's defense (this is another discussion for another day) and, last I checked, there weren't 300,000,000 people living in that country (and how many of them are illegal...err 'undocumented').
    RANT OFF
But......you're RIGHT ON THE MONEY about unnecessary medical care.

    1. Hey Al
I do think if people want allopathic medicine, they should be able to afford it or get it free. As you probably know, I do my own thing when it comes to medicine. I believe everyone should have that choice.
So the Navy doctors are no MASH, that what you are saying? I do remember hearing that during WW2 and Korea War, the doctors came off the fronts being excellent surgeons because they had to employ their own methods to save people. But I imagine once back in the states, the Big Pharma beckoned to them with the big bucks. Those guys deserve the best and seem to get the worst. Now, service men are exposed to chemicals that kill them 10 years later.
"Medicine for dummies"..... good one Al.
      Thanks for an inteesting comment.

    2. Al, we have clinics here in Aus and everybody knows that if you are writing in pain, you don't wait around, you head for the nearest hospital emergency instead. Even there you are covered by your Medicare if you are a low income earner or pensioner. we have private doctors that you can go to if you wish and have health cover, but again, if you are writhing in pain, head to the hospital instead which is where your private doctor will probably send you anyway.

You have been so patient trying the natural treatments but no way do I think the chemical way would ever heal. 10. I can so hardly stand what I'm watching happen to my country that I haven't really had the heart to chime in on this stuff lately. I will just add a few tidbits to the conversation going on here:
I have never been prouder of the fact that I literally protested in the street on numerous occasions against this steaming crap pile.
No way on God's green earth that this is all just glitches.
Danish people walk or bike everywhere and don't eat chemical laden garbage.
My Canadian friends cross over the border whenever they need urgent medical care. Once my friend was told to go home and take aspirin after some really bad stomach pains- and after a long wait at the ER. She came down to the U.S. and ended up in emergency surgery for a bleeding ulcer. Her husband has been put on a waiting list for knee surgery since it doesn't affect his sit down bankers job. He'll be lucky to get the surgery he needs at all before more permanent damage is done to his knee. He's already waited 3 months just to get a scan of his knee. Yeah, Canadian medical is just that awesome.

I've heard the same stories about Canadian allopathic medicine but yet when the Canadians write, they seem satisfied and proud of their medical. I really can't say. My husband was Canadian and many of his relatives did cross the border when they had acute medical problems because they'd rather pay and get to see a doctor immediately. Yes, I fear we have given up something precious. I say "given up" because everyone was asleep and didn't want to see it happening. I've tried but the bright, the shiny, the trendy just say I'm senile so I tend my roses and read my books and "try" to shut up because no one listens anyway. Once in a while it bubbles up to my eyeballs and I do squeak out Thanks for the comment.

  11. I'm a firm believer in my body looking after itself as long as I feed it the right foods. I rarely go to my doctor, only for prescription renewals for the puffers that keep me breathing without a coughing fit, or if I have unmanageable pain. Which happens much less now that I am not working and can rest more. Dentist is a different matter, I go more often because my teeth keep breaking.

I bet you worked under some heavy lighting like all big storesI have. I can barely go in the big stores without getting immediate phsical symptoms. It just seems to drain all my energy, my nose is immediately stuffed up and my head hurts. Can you imagine all the radiation floating around in those stores that have a big roomful of the gigantic plasma TV's. The people who work there are most likely sick but have no idea where it's coming from. An allopathic doctor certainy won't tell them. Also hospitals..... one big Fukishima. It's a scary world we've made for ourselves.

  17. I agree about taking care of one's body. But if I could, I'd kiss the feet of the one who invented the medication I take daily for my thyroid (Hajimoto's Disease). And when I came down with cholera when we lived in Egypt, it was an American Navy doctor at our medical station there at the time who quickly diagnosed the problem and provided the medication that saved my life. My husband's retired military. I wish every American had the same medical benefits we have -- the same that every member of Congress has -- which are pretty much what the ACA is all about. Yes, there are quirks, but they will shake out. A longtime friend lives in Boston. She loves "Romney Care" but hates "Obama Care." They're the same!

Hajimoto's can be touchy to diagnose. Doctors don't always check the thyroid. I take iodine. Living in Egypt must have been an exciting experience but it always seems more diseaes are lurking around too. I contacted some things while living in Morocco that have been with me all my life too. Good luck with the medical system. I'm sure it will be running smoothly soon.

  18. It's unbelievable to me that the ACA roll-out wasn't delayed until AFTER sufficient beta testing was conducted to find and kill the bugs FIRST. Lots of bad decisions made, but I'm hopeful that things will eventually run smoothly. Medicare and Social Security didn't start problem-free, either. But THESE problems could have been averted with proper preparation. With so much riding on its success, you'd think all those folks would have bent over backwards to get it right. Stupid.

I'm sure you are right that it will be up and going soon. The political parties like to blame each other for every little thing that goes wrong. I've never used medicare because I don't do allopathic. But a lot of people do use it so I hope it's there for them soon.

  19. Hi Manzanita,

I get lost and bewildered in all of this. I don't want somebody ranting at me. However, I just don't understand your healthcare set up, or lack of. I'm so used to Universal Healthcare in Canada and Britain. I've always thought healthcare was a right and not a privilege, acute or otherwise.

Take care and pretend I didn't comment.

I don't understand it either and that is why I've never used it. Actually that isn't exactly correct. My body responds to herbs and natural healing so that is what I use. I've always had great respect for China's medical system. They have both allopathic and natural healing in their hospitals. allopathic for acute problems and natural and herbs to heal. That is what I wish we had here.

Who would rant at you? I'll take care of em. lol
