Snow is Good

Yesterday it was snowing and blowing and snowing. Another foot of snow. That will be great for the ski hills BUT also great for Cody's holes. Look at the header. No more holes.

  1. Snow was good for so many years. We had a skiing family, and snow is downright beautiful. I think, however, I'll make way for others to enjoy it now.

  2. Thank goodness for the snow! I would have been a nervous wreck watching out the window and waiting for the strange lady next door to appear.
    Enjoy the snow :)

  7. Now she will never know. Shusssh. Such a beautiful picture of concealed crime.
We were due a big one but now it seems it will only miss 5 counties in the whole state and I am one of the 5.
The way to not have snow I have discovered is to wish mightily for it.

  10. Janet,
Snow is perfect. Look at each snowflake and you'll see not two alike, yet they blend together perfectly.

    JJ,
Don't you think it's the cold and driving inconvenience that people don't like as they get older? One reason I like Montana is the lack of humidity. When it's cold temp, it' doesn't feel very cold. Yesterday at zero deg. two of my neighbors were out shoveling in shorts.

    Cherie,
It would be a complete first if I ever came face to face with her.

    Mimi,
I lived in Florida for 25 years and every day I wanted to get back to four definite seasons.

    Su_sieee,
No, the blue is from my cheap camera. The snow is white, white.

    Old Kitty,
All is well that is "covered with snow."

    Red Nomad Oz,
Loud and clear. Sometime I think it's so silly to get uptight over grass and earth.

    Clare,
I know, you got your share of show, too.

    Patti,
Poor Patti, wishing for snow and missing you. Did you hex it?

Thank you for your fun comment on Cody's misdeed and the forgiving snow. Love you all.... Manzanita

  11. Carol,
    Weather is rather a mirical.

    Anna,
We make snowmen later on into spring when the snow has more moisture. It's so dry here that the snow wouldn't stick together for a ball. But, this fluffy stuff is heavently for skiing. When my kids were little we made our own snow day on the perfect fluff snow days. They'd skip school and off to the ski hill. I guess i'd say, you can always go to school but rarely find such perfect snow. They remind me of that often. All my kids are hot-shot skiers.

    Ann,
You said it. Cody is so obedient that often I froget about her when we're outside. I'll have to keep her closer to me.

Thank you for sharing my snow episode. Lovely comments. Love, Manzanita

  13. I guess you should be grateful for something. Hate snow.

  14. Snows covers all 'sins' beautifully. Sorry you are living next to such an odd 'duck' ...

  15. Rose,
I know what you're saying. I have to push Cody out when it's a hard snow but once she's out, I can't get her to come in.

    Mrs. Tuna,
    Thanks for stopping by.

    I Wonder Wye,
Yes, a big white blanket and it was a sin. That's a great duck pun.

    Thanks everyone, Manzanita

  16. Our garden looked great too when it snowed - no evidence of the rabbit holes...they're back now though and bigger than ever. Hugs to you and Cody.
