Aloe Mallo...New Little Plantlings

As I was sitting in the sunshine, looking at my aloe plantlings and contemplating what I liked about my life, it came to me in a flash. What I like best about my life is that I'm healthy. What a boon to life that is.

That health care bill that they quibble about, they could take it, stick it in a rocket and send it to the Moon. Because I won't do drugs, I've never been to an allopathic doctor. But economy needs the cancers of the body. Think of the vast medical community that would be jobless. But for me, I don't want to go that route, so I cleanse, I detox and I expel metals, toxins, parasites, and unwanted cells. That's all cancer is, an accumulation of the above.

The aloe plant is one of my medications. The above are some new ones I just planted. I mix up a little concoction and take a tablespoon before each meal. I'll share my formula with you.
3 or 4 aloe leaves from at least a 5 year plant (350 gr)
organic honey (1.1 lb.)
about 8 tsp. whiskey

Wipe off leaves. Cut off spiny thorns on edges.Cut leaves in pieces and put in blender with honey and whiskey. Blend, put in a dark bottle and store in fridge. It'll cure what ails ya !!! No kidding.

  1. I have been sitting here raiding through all of your posts..I just have to say You Are One Fine Lady! I so enjoy reading your post and will be looking for a 5 year old Aloe plant. Even though I am a nurse, or maybe because I am, I do not have a lot of faith in western medicine. There are times when it is amazing and I have seen remarkable advances, while other times it sickens me the medications some people are prescribed.
    Have a fantastic weekend.

  2. ...while growing up, my grandmother used aloe on quite literally everything. And those plants...well, they were everywhere. They truly are remarkable:)

Glad I stopped by. You've rekindled many lost memories.

  3. I'm going to bookmark this post. We have a couple of aloe plants (neither is five years old) and organic local honey is readily available here. As is whiskey. Now if I just remember to use the pound of honey and tablespoons of whiskey - and not the other way around - we'll be in good shape :)

  4. We've got a huge plant out back which we use for burns, but to actually drink it? Gosh... I don't know... It makes me gag to think about it.

  5. I read somewhere that the aloe plant is so restorative if scientists had invented it, the blenderized powder you make would be by prescription only. Don't have any whiskey but have honey and the plant. Think I'll get the whiskey. Thanks, Manzie!

  6. The aloe vera growing in our house look sick. I think they are detoxing the house because the air is so bad. It's a rental and we are soon hoping to get out.

  7. I completely agree that having your health is EVERYTHING!
I avoid any kind of doctor office because that is sick care, not health care.
I haven't tried the aloe, but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for the tip!

  8. I've had my aloe vera plant for over 20 years now and it's not looking as good as yours!! But it's still there and has been with me through thick and thin!! Take care

  9. Whoa! That sounds like a potent blend!! But the whiskey makes it all worthwhile ... are you sure other types of alcohol can't be substituted??!!

Now, here's the blog URL for the blogger older than you - LV! http://livinatmemescorner.blogspot.com/

    Have a great day!!

  10. Shawn,
I started out as a nurse too, but it was only my way to get out of Dodge. I couldn't do it because I didn't see how chemicals could help people. I do believe surgeons do wonderful things in acute care. Thank you for your kind words.

    Elliot,
Thanks for stopping and following. Yes, aloe plants are quite amazing.

    Carol,
Maybe the other way around might work just as well, huh? :)

    Kay,
Actually it tastes pretty good with all that honey.

    Kittie,
I guess you can use any except wine or beer. I use scotch because I have a bottle of that.

    Kleinstemotte,
Too bad to hurt your aloe by harmful chemicals. Hope you get to move soon.

    Pamo,
That phrase is good. I'll remember it. Thanks for stopping

    Old Kitty,
WOW 20 years is an old plant. It must be huge. The ones in the picture are some babies I just planted.

    Red Nomad OZ,
Any liquor will work except wine or beer. I use scotch.... all I have in the house. I looked up her blog. A good one. She's been at it for a while, too. Same age.
    Love to all... Manzanita

  11. Good info...
I am going to introduce your blog to my Brother, who is into Wellness as a career. You would really love him...he's a fitness instructor and massage therapist, among his other health-oriented pursuits! (his website is http://www.wellnesseducation.us if you want to check it out)
    Love to you!

  12. Aw, I can't drink so I hope it work without the whiskey. I've used aloe for burns, never ingested it. Will have to give it a shot. Thanks.

  13. Manzi: I don't have too many mentors left. I pick and choose whom to listen attentively to, and that is why I follow your blog. You are much appreciated.

  14. Manzi, I, too, do not participate in the medical paradigm and have strong feelings about it. When I was in Santa Fe this winter, I found an aloe drink, all organic, that had a very slight gel feeling to it, but it was delicious cold. This recipe sounds like you should get yourself a wagon and start selling this magic potion in towns across the country. :) Secretly, you'd be the new Wizard of Oz.

  15. Clare,
Good for your brother. Way to go, good physical fitness and natural health. Yeahhhh

    Patti,
I don't know how it works if you leave the whiskey out. I'd have to check. It may work because you want the aloe and you need the honey because it's bitter tasting. The whiskey is more of a preserative. I'll let you know. I really like the taste of it.

    JJ,
My goodness, thank you. My hat won't fit. I thought it was the other way around. I'm the one who learns new lessons from YOUR blog. We maybe all learn collectively.

    Teresa,
And you know what I say about that. Hurray, hurray. !!!!! The drink sounds great. I wonder if they have they up in this neck of the woods.
Yeah, a little covered gypsy wagon and sell it on street corners like the old snake oil scammers. Ha ha ha

Thank for the neat comments and for being receptive to my natural healing stuff. Love you all. Manzanita

  16. I think I need to plant me some aloe. Sounds like a good concoction to me.

  17. We were talking about that at dinner the other night; why they haven't come up with a cure for cancer or the common cold.

If they did, the pharmaceutical companies would go out of business and there goes the infra structure (which is already in ruins).

I only take an aspirin when needed. Not a pill popper for every ache and pain I have. Even if I have a cold, I drink lots of tea and it makes me feel better. Soup does too.

So what does this concoction taste like? Is the whiskey to kill the taste? Aloe is amazing stuff I heard!
