Country Song My Granddaughter Wrote

Country Song by Ashly

WAIT ………..Before you turn this off.

I know background music isn’t the accepted thing these days. I’m told that most people find it annoying. Here’s what Matthew MacDonald has to say about background music in his book, “Creating a Web Site.

“Most people like to browse the Web in peaceful silence. That means no trance-hypno-ambient background tracks, no strange disco beats and no sudden cymbal crashes. This aversion to noise may be due to the fact that something like 98% of all Web browsing takes place on company time.”

But, in spite of all that, give this country song a listen. It’s written and sung by my Granddaughter, Ashly. It’s called “Red River” played by her band, “Little Jane and the Pistol Whips.”

  1. She has a great voice! Sounds very bluegrassy or folksy. Your granddaughter reminds me of some of the musical styles around here. We spend time going on country drives and find outdoor music jams going on...this song reminds me a great deal of that! Thank you for sharing!

  2. song isn't downloading. get your troubleshooting hat on ma! xoxo

  3. Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog. I love new visitors. and I've been to Bozeman.
I tried to get this recording to start but have had not luck....I'll go to UTube site and see if it works for me there.
    I'll be back

  4. YAY--I tried something different. It worked this time. Great voice and sound. I agree with the first comment it is kinda blue grassy. I liked the scenery shots that went with it.

  5. Wait a minute little missy ---I just saw that you are 80. Holly Wow!! love it.
and here all this time I thought I was one of the oldest bloggers out there, approaching 59.
I look forward to reading your blog and LEARNING FROM YOU

  6. Thanks for the comments. She's finally got the $ for a big CD with all of her original songs, sung by her with her band.

This comes in fine on my Mac. I don't know what to do, if you're not getting it. I know it's different with each browser. It is on YT. I'm not much of a Techy.... & Sherri, I was trying to figure out if I was signed up as a follower for you. Am I? You sound like a techy.... "embed the code for your book." Hell, I don't even know what you mean ha
